Last Tuesday, our show has successfully ended.
As a member of the workshop I also participated in the drama of the show. Though, for me, it’s only a very small role as the helper of the magician, I’m so happy that I got the great chance to go through the whole process of the creation of the drama. I have so many words to say about the drama that I don’t know how to start.
First of all, I want to say we have two very responsible leaders, Fanny and Aggie. They are so responsible and full of ideas. I still remember when Fanny told me the idea of combining drama with magic how exciting I was about the creative idea. That idea is the foundation of our drama. After deciding the theme, the whole team gradually has passion to fulfill it.
If you ask me what the most important thing the drama brought to me, I would like to say that it offered me a great chance to interact with the local students. Though we still had some activities in the class, I think the time is not enough. However, the time we spent on the drama is plenty enough for us to have a deeper understanding. Aggie is very active and full of ideas. I won’t forget though very hard she still tried to speak mandarin with us. Alisa, with so many projects, still attended every discussion. Kim, always on time and really lend a big hand at last. Mirror is really good at solving problems. These lovely local students made me know more about Macau and Macau people. Actually the gap between us is not that large. We can work and play happily together.
The other thing drama taught me is that one should never be afraid of changing. We actually changed the whole script the day before the performance. At first I don’t agree with the change because though the old version may have some problems we were indeed familiar with it. I was not brave enough to make that big a change. However, the fact proved that our decision was right. The change saved the drama.
I’m so happy that I also took part in the show too, or I think I will be definitely regretted for what I have lost.
