Immerse myself in reading

Reading is one of my favorite interests. In my spare time, I always immerse myself in books and music. I think reading while listening to music is the most enjoyable thing in the world. Oh, by the way, if you add a cup of tea or coffee and sit by the window which can just let in enough sunshine, it will be perfect~
Though last week, Macao was seems in a sad mood and the sky was keep gray, the bad weather can't stop me from immersing myself in books.
The book I recently finished is TUESDAY WITH MORRIE. It was a worldwide popular book several years ago. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to read it until recent.
The book is about a special class between Mitch Albom and Morrie Schwartz, who was Mitch's old professor in college. 20 years after graduation, the author has learnt a much more meaningful class from the dying professor.
What's life? What's your target? What should you aim for? What's death? How to face death? How to treat your family? Like Morrie gave his old students, the book gave me a lot answers to these questions which sometimes haunt in my mind. So, what's the basic attitude of Morrie towards life? Well, in my perspective, live in the moment! Though it's only 4 words, the majority can't follow this suggestion even keep trying all their life. We all like to recall the past and expect the future. How about now? The present, always being neglected by us, however, is the most important. Just as Morrie, one who suffer a serious illness or one who is closer to death, these can't prevent him from enjoying every moment of his life. As he said, life is not all happy, distress is part of life. What we should enjoy is not simply happiness but life, which contains both the brightness and darkness.
This reminds me of one of the sentence I have seen from a movie," Seize the day!" Yes, every second, no matter the tough period of preparing for the mid-term like now or the wonderful and easy period at the beginning of the term, they are all enjoyable. Study hard and play hard! Fun is not only in holidays or weekends, if you enjoy, everyday is of great fun!

Marshmallow Challenge----an interesting activity

Although the marshmallow challenge class has passed several days, it impressed me quite a lot.
I still want to write something to record this vivid and meaningful class.

Personally, I'm interested in these kinds of class activities which require some handwork therefore you can guess how excited I was when we started to prepare building the tower with noodles. However, when we actually began to work, passion was not enough. The classmates in our group are from FSH, FBA, FED but, unfortunatelyNO FST. So we all had no idea about how to build a strong tower with noodles, don't even say knowing what's the purpose of marshmallow.
Therefore there is no doubt that our group's tower didn't stand up at all! However, every coin has two sides. We had great fun in the process of building and learned a good lesson from this experience.
The first lesson I learned is how great a role planning should take. Because of worrying about the time, we started to build in a hurry without a clear plan, which caused a series of trouble later.
The second lesson is  the importance of setting a suitable goal. We put most of our energy to think about how to build a high tower instead of how to build a stable one. Our direction was not accurate and our target was much higher than our ability can obtain.
The third lesson is that we should not be affected by others easily. When seeing other groups' towers gradually stand up, we were quite worried and lost strategy and finally messed it up. The standing tower of other groups gave us so much pressure which made things worse.
The last but not the least, failure is nothing because we got three treasurable lessons from one failure. Quite worthwhile, isn't it?!

HC retreat, an unforgettable day~

HC can always bring surprise to me!!!
Starting a new period of studying in UMAC with the HC retreat is really wonderful. This time, in the same place, the Macau Tower, but we had quite different experiences with a lot surprise and excitement. Because this time we are going to try the sky walk! What's more, if you are lucky enough you may also get the valuable opportunity to experience flying through the sky jump!
We gathered at the lobby early in the morning, but no one is sleepy. We kept talking about the coming sky walk, which makes someone happy and someone scared and gave courage to the people who are timid.
Maybe Udani want to make us relax and stop worry too much about the sky jump, we started with some team building activities outside the Macau Tower. We transfer messages with facial languages and built tower with newspapers. The small games really had huge impact, we discussed, laughed, took pictures and took the chances to know more classmates deeply.
I'm in the group of purple, which is my favourite color~I think our group is lucky because the birthday girl Cherry is in my group too. Now she must be in Guangzhou celebrating her birthday and enjoying the weekends with her friends!
Then comes today's big event----sky walk! While in the elevator we were still worried and even called the elevator a tool towards death....hahahaha~However, when we actually at the top, the beautiful scenery and cute thighs about skywalk attracted us. I just can't stop taking photos!
I got great pleasure of challenging myself through the skywalk. I used to think that challenges means difficulties which can only give me pressure and pain. However, actually some challenges are only difficulties when you see them but turn out to be quite easy and enjoyable when you indeed do it. When I stepped out and stand in the air, the excitement and amazing feeling took the place of fear. I'm quite much braver than I thought. Thanks the skywalk, thanks HC, thanks Udani, you let me see a different Hannah I had never figured out before.
In the afternoon 14 valiants tried the rock climbing. I'm so proud of them~Especially Cherry, the birthday girl of our group is the first girl who reached the top. How brave you are! I have tried rock climbing when I was in junior high school, it is a game requires a lot energy and endurance, especially for girls who are lack of energy in upper limb. The 14 classmates, no matter whether they reached the top or not, they are all heroes because of their insistence. I didn't see one stop trying at the first few steps. That's also one of the spirits of HC, keep trying and never give up until the last minutes.
I had a wonderful day which I will never forget. The skywalk, the teambuilding activities, the skyjump, the delicious food, the beautiful view of Macau, the brave rock climbing guys and my lovely classmates, they made my day meaningful and unforgettable~
